Jaden and Andrea grew up only a few minutes away from each other, but it wasn’t until joining the same campus ministry in college that they began dating and fell in love. We’ve had the joy of knowing Jaden and Andrea for a few years and were so blessed to be able to photograph both their proposal and wedding.
In October we had the privilege of photographing Jaden’s surprise proposal under a tree with a canopy of lights, which we helped his friends set up before the big event. Hiding downhill we captured photos and video of the proposal and then moved in for a few posed pics before they left for their dinner reservations. Later that night we met back up with them for their engagement party!

Jaden and Andrea got married at The Allure on the Lake in Chesterton, Indiana on a hot summer day. Surrounded by friends and family, this beautiful summer wedding stretched late into the night with both a DJ and a live band keeping the dance floor busy for HOURS. The venue literally had to shut the party down haha it was so fun and I don’t think anyone left the dance floor not drenched in sweat. We LOVED the formal look of all the bridesmaids in black dressed and the groomsmen in suits, everything looked so polished and perfect.
The Allure on the Lake is a simple, elegant, and modern venue and we definitely would recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding venue in Northwest Indiana! There’s some huge trees, flower gardens, and a swing outside perfect for bridal party photos and you can even do your ceremony outside overlooking the lake if you want.
