Below you’ll find some of the most common questions we get asked! We always welcome questions and highly encourage every couple to do their research before booking any vendor.

WHAT IS MY PAYMENT SCHEDULE?
Half of your total payment will be due up front as a non-refundable retainer to book your wedding date. The remaining half will be due 30 days before the wedding. This payment schedule allows me to book necessary travel accommodations, pay my team members, and place any needed specialty gear rentals well in advance of your wedding day.

WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING PROCESS?
If we haven’t already done so, we’ll set up a time for a Zoom or FaceTime call. Once you’ve selected the Collections you want for your wedding day, I’ll email you a contract through DocuSign. After we’ve both signed it I’ll send you a secure, online invoice through Stripe for the retainer payment. Then we’ll start planning how to best capture your dream wedding!

DO I NEED A SECOND SHOOTER?
Second shooters allow us to capture more moments, multiple angles, and move a little faster through the timeline. It also ensures that in the unlikely event of a technical malfunction or other mishap we’ll still have all the key moments preserved. While we highly recommend adding second photographers and videographers, we are comfortable shooting solo!

HOW DO YOU PROTECT MY PHOTOS AND VIDEOS?
We only shoot with high-end, “dual card slot” cameras. This means every single photo and video clip we take is immediately recorded to two separate SD cards - so everything is backed up the moment it happens! And as soon as I get home from your wedding I back up all of your files to two separate hard drives. While I’m actively editing your video or photo gallery a third copy of all your files will be on my computer, ensuring nothing gets lost along the way.
For audio, we’ll always record big moments like your first look, ceremony, toasts, etc with multiple microphones so that if one audio feed gets compromised, we have others to work with.

WHAT IS YOUR DELIVERY TIME?
Typical turnaround time for wedding photos is 2-3 months; films are 3-4 months. Wedding films take a LOT longer to edit than photo galleries, so if you book us for both we’ll send your photos first while we continue working on your wedding film. Depending on the time of year and our workload, your delivery time may be shorter or longer than this, but we’ll keep you posted! And you’re always welcome to reach out for updates.
We’ll never rush through your photo or video gallery just to meet an arbitrary deadline. You’ll be cherishing these photos and films for the rest of your life, and we’re going to put everything we have into making them perfect.

DO I HAVE TO BOOK YOU FOR BOTH PHOTO AND VIDEO?
Our goal is simple: we want you to have the wedding of your dreams. And we’ll help make that happen however we can! If that means only hiring us to do either photo or video and hiring another company to do the other, that’s totally fine. :) There are certainly some benefits to hiring one cohesive media team to capture everything, but this is your day! You need the creatives that perfectly fit your vision.

WHAT KIND OF GEAR DO YOU USE?
We use professional Canon mirrorless cameras, a mix of Rode and Zoom microphones, a DJI drone, and other pro lighting and support equipment. When we roll up to your wedding our car will be packed with thousands of dollars of high-end equipment making sure your photos and videos stand the test of time.

DO YOU SHOOT DESTINATION WEDDINGS?
Yes! We’ve traveled all over the US and several places in Europe and Africa, and we’d love to shoot your destination wedding or elopement. Custom collections with travel fees included are available for these types of weddings.

DO I HAVE TO ORDER PRINTS FROM YOU?
When you purchase a photo package from us, you’ll receive a full print release for your photos! Meaning you can print them through our online store or anywhere else you’d like to.

DO WE HAVE TO DO A VIDEO CALL?
I do require a “face to face” meeting before booking for a few reasons:
1. I want to get to know you! We’ll be spending a lot of time together in your engagement/story sessions and on your wedding day, so it’s important that we’re a good fit!
2. You’ll feel more comfortable posing for photos and videos if you know me better.
3. I don’t want to show up on the wedding day and have no clue who the bride and groom are! I also don’t want you waiting around for a mystery man to show up and start taking pictures of you.

DO YOU SHOOT ELOPEMENTS OR MICRO WEDDINGS?
We do! Whether they’re local to Indiana/the Midwest or a destination farther out, we’d be happy to cover your elopement or micro wedding with a custom photo or video collection.

DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM PACKAGES?
Yes! Every couple is different and every wedding is different. If none of our collections above fit your vision, we’d be happy to put together a custom photo or video package for you!

DO YOU OFFER DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY OR VIDEOGRAPHY?
You bet! Weather permitting we’re always looking for a chance to fly our drone and get some stunning aerial shots.
